Light
Mokara are sun-lovers. Give them bright light with a little protection from the harshest midday sun — a sunny terrace, balcony or shade-house is ideal. Too little light and they won't flower.
Watering
Usually grown bare-rooted or in open baskets, Mokara like daily watering of their aerial roots in warm weather: drench until the roots turn green, then let them dry before the next watering.
Feeding & humidity
Feed weakly and often through the warm months and keep humidity high with good airflow. Strong, steady conditions produce the long, straight sprays Mokara are prized for.
Flowering
In warm, bright conditions a healthy Mokara flushes repeatedly through the year, and its cut sprays last exceptionally well in arrangements and event work.
