Phalaenopsis Care in India
Phalaenopsis is the most popular indoor orchid in India. Here's how to keep it thriving through our seasons.
Light
Indirect light only — avoid direct afternoon sun, which scorches the broad leaves.
Watering
Water in the morning so leaves dry by night. With sphagnum moss, water only after 70–80% has dried.
Humidity & heat
Aim for ~60% humidity; in dry months, a pebble tray helps. Keep below 32°C where possible.
Re-spiking
A 4–6°C day–night difference for a few weeks encourages a new flower spike.
